Mary Vagle Nature Center

Located at the foot of the Jurupa Hills, the Mary Vagle Nature Center is a nature sanctuary in the middle of the urban landscape. Here you can enjoy a walk along the nature trail that winds around the pond, see what’s currently blooming in our yard, and venture inside to see both live and static displays of the native area. We encourage people to participate in enjoying the nature that surrounds us every day by visiting us or even participating in our programs, which include: raising wild animals, studying native plants and animals, discovering the earth and soil through geology and the creatures that crawl under our feet. .

Looking for a nice place for outdoor activities? Go to the Mary Vagle Nature Center. In South Fontana, near Cypress Ave and Jurupa Ave, you can enjoy a walk around the pond or take a short walk on one of the trails. This is one of my kids favorite places. They take a short hike up the hill, walk around the pond, sit and have a picnic. It’s great for all ages. Due to current restrictions, the indoor nature center and restrooms are currently closed, but when they reopen, you can go inside to see live reptiles such as turtle and snapper, among others. The outdoor areas, trails and pool area are currently CLOSED. Mary Vagle Nature Center is a nature sanctuary in the middle of the urban landscape. Here you can enjoy a walk along the nature trail around the pond, see what is currently blooming in our courtyard gardens, or enter and explore exhibits of local plants, animals, geology and history. Twenty minutes outside Rialto in the Fontana neighborhood, you will come to the Mary Vagle Nature Center. The park also has flower gardens that offer plenty of color and is a great place to admire the beauty of the local flora and fauna.
