Redlands Art Association
The Redlands Art Association (RAA) is an organization that was founded in 1964 to encourage and support the visual arts in the City of Redlands and neighboring communities. Their mission is to enrich lives and promote a vibrant society by inspiring creativity, nurturing individual expression, and supporting the visual arts. RAA maintains an Art Center and sales Gallery, one of the largest in the Inland Empire open to the public free of charge, at its downtown Redlands location. Art classes, programs, workshops, and demonstrations are conducted at the Art Center. RAA established the Margaret Clark Art Education Enrichment Fund (MCAEEF) to ensure ongoing financial support for its art education programs. Generous volunteers with a deep passion for the visual arts perform most of the duties required to run the organization. It features a delightful selection of original paintings, photography, prints, pottery, glassware, jewelry, and art cards. Gallery exhibits are changed every six weeks. RAA offers art classes and educational programs at its Art Center and sponsors scholarships for children. Lectures and demonstrations by well-known artists are offered on the fourth Tuesday of the month from September through May.
Hosted by RAA and Redlands Festival of Arts, Art in the Park is a two-day springtime gathering of artists along with entertainment, music, food and refreshments. In addition, the Youth Art Expo provides a showcase for K-12 artists and ‘hands on’ art classes. Open to creative artists residing in California and RAA members, this juried show is only restricted by the size of your work being less than 14.5 inches including bases and frames. Tabletop pieces must be 5×7 inches or less. Calling all photographers to give us your best shot! This show has become a popular venue for both photographers and viewers and is open to the public. Visitors are invited to a reception to meet the artists. Don’t forget to check out this place in Redlands too.
Redlands Art Association (RAA) is an exhibition center that was built in 1964 to display different types of art forms. One of its other primary purposes was to create a gallery where people could purchase affordable and beautiful art pieces. The association itself stands for causes like visual arts and creativity. They also host art classes, educational programs, and small workshops for children and adults. Some of these lectures are conducted by well-known artists.
